Answers to the most common questions about Pilates, our studio, and getting started.
New to Pilates
Reformer Pilates uses a specialized spring-resistance machine (the Reformer) to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness through controlled, low-impact movement. Unlike mat Pilates, the Reformer provides adjustable resistance, making exercises both accessible for beginners and challenging for advanced practitioners.
No experience needed. We recommend starting with an Intro Private Session ($49) so your instructor can teach you the fundamentals of the Reformer before you join a group class. Many clients transition to group classes after one or two privates.
Wear comfortable, form-fitting athletic clothing that allows full range of motion. Grip socks are required on the Reformer for safety - we sell them in the studio if you need a pair. Avoid jewelry that may catch on equipment. No shoes needed.
Arrive 5-10 minutes early so your instructor can walk you through the studio and the Reformer basics. Your instructor will ask about any injuries, health conditions, or goals. Class is usually 50-55 minutes. You'll leave feeling worked - but not destroyed. Most clients are surprised by how much they feel the next day.
Reformer Pilates is frequently recommended for injury rehabilitation and pain management. Our instructors are trained for special populations - back pain, post-surgery, arthritis, and more. Please disclose any conditions when booking. We may recommend starting with a private session so your instructor can assess your movement before a group class.
Classes & Schedule
A maximum of 5 clients per class - a 1:5 instructor ratio. We have 7 Reformers and never oversell. You will always have your instructor's attention.
Book online through our schedule page or the WellnessLiving app. For private sessions, use the appointments page. Classes can be booked up to 7 days in advance.
Please cancel at least 12 hours before your class to avoid a late-cancel fee. This allows other clients on the waitlist to take your spot. We understand life happens - if you have a genuine emergency, contact us and we'll work with you.
Please do your best to arrive 5 minutes early. Late arrivals after the warm-up can disrupt the class and increase injury risk for you. If you know you'll be late, text or call us so we can plan accordingly.
Pricing & Packages
We offer two intro options: an Intro Private Session for $49 (55 min, one-on-one, best if you're brand new) or a New Client 5-Class Pack for $99 (5 group classes, best if you want to try different class types). Most new clients start with the private, then get the 5-pack.
Class packs expire one year from the date of purchase - use them at your own pace within that window. The New Client 5-Class Pack expires 2 months from purchase. Packs can also be shared with family members on the same account.
Private Sessions
Choose a private session if you're brand new to Pilates, recovering from an injury or surgery, pregnant or postpartum, have a specific condition (scoliosis, osteoporosis, etc.), or simply want focused one-on-one attention to accelerate your progress. Group classes are great once you know the fundamentals.
Semi-Private Duet sessions are for two people working with one instructor. They're popular with partners, friends, or family members. At $120 for two people ($60 each), it's a great way to get close-to-private attention at a lower cost. Both participants should have similar fitness levels and goals.
Special Populations
With appropriate modifications, Reformer Pilates is excellent during pregnancy. Sandra is trained in prenatal Pilates and can design a safe, supportive program for each trimester. We offer a dedicated Prenatal Private Session ($95, 75 min). Always consult your OB or midwife before starting any new exercise program during pregnancy.
Many of our clients came to us specifically because of back pain - and many have seen dramatic improvement. Reformer Pilates builds the deep core and stabilizing muscles that support the spine. We work with disc issues, scoliosis, spinal stenosis, SI joint pain, and post-surgical recovery. We recommend starting with a private session so we can assess your specific situation.
We welcome clients ages 13 and up. Teens must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit. We have clients in their 80s who attend regularly - Pilates is truly for every age.
Studio Logistics
Free parking is available directly in front of the studio at 24811 Railroad Ave, Ste G and F, Santa Clarita, CA 91321. Look for Suite G and F in the complex.
Bring a water bottle, your grip socks (or purchase a pair at the studio for $15), and a small towel if you tend to sweat. Everything else is provided. No mat needed - you'll be on the Reformer.
Yes - we use Dyson air purifiers throughout the studio. Air quality is extremely important to us, especially in a space where people are breathing deeply during exercise. The studio is also cleaned between every class.
